Senior cost engineer (m/f/x)
Your Tasks
- Leading the cost estimating process at project level
- Management and coordination of engineering inputs and prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates (AACE Class 3-5 or equivalent)
- Validation of cost estimates and provide second opinion to clients to support investment decisions
- Mainting Fichtner's in-house cost data base and working with commerical cost data / knowledge bases
- Refining estimating methodologies and processes for first-of-ist-kind and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in the energy and e-fuels sector
- Promotion of estimating good practice within Fichtner
Your Profile
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in cost estimating, industrial engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant studies
- Minimum 5 years experience as Cost Estimator in the energy, green fuel, oil&gas or industrial sector
- Previous experience of working with estimating software packages (for instance CESK)
- Vast knowledge of cost estimating standards and practices, such as AACE International's Recommended Practices
- Team-player who enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Hands- on attitude when required
- Strong command of English language both speaking and writing
