Research Assistant (f/m/d)
Open position at myPOLS Biotec GmbH (starting from now)myPOLS is a young biotech company originating from the University of Konstanz. Since our foundation in 2014, we offer our expertise in DNA polymerases: we design, tailor, produce and lyophilize enzymes for biotech applications. We specialize in developing new generations of DNA polymerases for advanced and reliable applications e.g. in personalized medicine, pathogen detection, DNA and RNA diagnostics, forensics, and many more. Since January 2022, myPOLS Biotec is part of Medix Biochemica. Medix Biochemica Group is a leading global supplier of critical raw materials to the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry. Our passion is to enable our IVD customers to deliver accurate results to billions of patients worldwide.
Aufgaben:
- Perform and analyze various laboratory experiments focusing on PCR and qPCR
- DNA polymerase product development
- Data analysis and presentation
- Testing of formulations, reagent formulations, quality and functionality tests
Other activities may involve
- Reviewing quality management documents Maintenance tasks of a quality system according to ISO standard 13485
Qualifikationsprofil:
- Fluent in German and in English language
- Successfully completed training as a BTA / MTA/ technical assistant, biotechnologist or scientific degree as Bachelor or higher in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or similar with a passion to work in the laboratory
- Reliable and efficient team-working and communication skills
- Flexible and quick adaptation skills in different projects and tasks
- Strong interest in molecular biology
- Experience in: primer design, real-time PCR setup, primer extension reactions, protein expression, cloning, gel electrophoresis (Agarose, SDS-PAGE and denaturing PAGE) are a plus
- Writing and reporting skills
- Data handling and presentation skills
