Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of an airfreight carrier and what it takes to move commodities by airplane internationally? Then we would like to meet you and see if you are a good fit for our regional office to USA & Canada based in Chicago, IL.

The internship is scheduled to start in August 2024 for 6 months. The internship is compensated.

The selected applicant will support the commercial team with sales steering, marketing & controlling related tasks as follow, but not limited to:

• Gather and evaluate statistical data and prepare reports and presentations on sales, pricing, products, network and competition
• Support the budget planning process for revenue and cost
• Monitor budget deviations and develop corrective action in close cooperation with the management
• Apply planning and analytical skills to support business and process improvement projects
• Support in special projects
• Be involved in classic marketing fields such as customer segmentation, trend-, market- and competitor analysis

We are looking for a well-rounded intern with knowledge and interest in strategy, marketing, finance and project management.

• Study business administration, management or similar with a focus on Marketing and/or Finance

• Enrollment for the entire period of the internship (current enrollment certificate must be attached to the application) or internship between the Bachelor and Master studies (Gap Year)
• Completed basic studies and other relevant internships
• Excellent analytical skills, affinity to figures and experience with statistical analysis
• Ability to gather facts and figures and write concise briefing papers
• Ability to work on multiple assignments with tight deadlines
• Advanced in the use of all standard office software especially in MS Excel (MS Access desirable)
• Good English language skills and presentation skills
• You are a citizen of the EU or have a German work permit for at least 130 full working days
• You have a valid passport
