Maintenance Technician (M/F/D)
Your Tasks
- Perform plant preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Repairs machinery and equipment using the appropriate methods, replacement of parts, trouble shooting and diagnosing electrical, electronic, controls, hydraulic/mechanical systems.
- Perform a preventive maintenance on equipment that will minimize service repairs. · Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment, parts and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Responding quickly to any emergencies.
- Adheres to and promotes all safety guidelines and company standards.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Assist operation in training operators in the operation of new equipment.
- Provide recommendation of purchasing of new parts and maintenance equipment. · Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations; uses pressure wash machines, sweeping, cleaning up debris, arranging work areas, gathering tools, returning and restocking tools in their proper storage area; maintaining hand tools, power tools, welders and portable saws.
- Documents all repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
Your Profile
- High School education or equivalent
- Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred
- Advanced knowledge of PLC programming, Automation control troubleshooting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical (high and low voltage), Electronic control systems, Welding, Cutting, Fabrication and General Mechanics
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, identify and resolve input and output functions of logic controls
- Ability to use all tools and required equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
Ability to record data for maintenance records. - Ability to work with others in all phases of manufacturing.
- Possesses a high level of initiative and is able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
Maintains a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and possesses the ability to effectively work under pressure and with changing priorities. - Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively.
