Senior Materials & Processes Engineer (m/w/d)
Your Tasks
- Your focus will be the engineering consultancy, technical risk
mitigation and assurance concerning materials and processes applied in the
next generations of optical instruments
- You will join
an international team also responsible for the assessment of material and
process suitability regarding their application in the space environment
- You will review and
assess manufacturing, Inspection and test methods and procedures for
building and qualifying space equipment and systems
- You will be part of the technical
support teams in case of non-conformances or proposal evaluation
- You will regularly take
part in or conduct technical reviews regarding materials and processes for
the building blocks of future, smart space solutions
Your Qualifications
- Phd/Master in Materials
science, Metallurgy, Mechanical engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a comparable
qualification
- Ideally several years’
experience in the area of Materials and Processes, Optical engineering, Electronics
manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or Product Assurance in the space
industry
- Interdisciplinary
mindset, independent and forward-looking way of working
- Flexibility, a high
sense of responsibility, as well as the ability to work in an
international team
- Confident personality
and good negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel
on business
- Fluent English and ability
to communicate in German
- Structured,
goal-oriented and self-dependent work
- Team player with excellent
communication skills
Optional Skills:
- Experience in
aerospace, especially in MMPP (materials, mechanical parts &
processes) related activities
- Knowledge of the
applicable ECSS-ST-Q-70 standards
- Experience with optical
instruments
- French language
