As the IVA Schmetz Group, we specialize in the development and production of industrial furnace systems and offer innovative and reliable solutions. With over 75 years of experience, more than 300 employees at 5 locations and our 4 established brands, we are able to fulfill all customer requirements in the field of heat treatment.

For our location in Menden, we are looking for a committed employee as soon as possible:

IoT System Engineer (m/f/d)

What you can expect:

• Setting up and maintaining the infrastructure for our digital product "PreVision"
• Management, design and further development of IoT gateway solutions and interfaces
• Technical contact and administrator of the OSIsoft PI system landscape
• Planning and documentation of deployed and newly developed technologies
• Supporting the internal IT department in the administration of network, cloud and server infrastructure

What you bring with you:

• You have completed training or a degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification
• You have a great enthusiasm for IoT projects and new technologies
• You have basic knowledge of machine data acquisition, initial experience with OSIsoft PI is an advantage
• Experience with Python is required, other scripting languages / programming languages desirable
• You have good knowledge of VMware virtualization as well as Kubernetes and cloud infrastructures
• You are familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English
