Job Description
Our research center in Renningen serves as a network of short paths between communication and inspiration, where there are no limits to creativity. Do you want to shape the future with us?
- In the context of this thesis you will research available verification and validation (V&V) methods which also can incorporate system (expert) knowledge.
- You will select and analyze the most promising model frameworks regarding V&V.
- The development of a V&V concept for a lead application (excavator assistance functions) which increases the robustness of databased model training against bad data (outliers, data gaps, measurement noise) will also be part of your research.
- Furthermore, you will investigate measures to reduce the computational load of the V&V concept to enable an online V&V.
- Last but not least you will be able to test the developed V&V concept using the real excavator data.
Qualifications
- Education: studies in the field of Computer science, Engineering or Mathematics
- Experience and Knowledge: competent handling of MATLAB / Simulink or Python, competence in control engineering and / or hydraulics is an advantage
- Personality and Working Practice: creative team player with the ability to work independently
- Languages: very good English

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
