Eurofins Professional Scientific Service (PSS)is a global insourcing solution for our customers. Together with the customer, we define a project for the required services that our Eurofins employees should provide at the customer's location. During the ongoing project, the responsibility for project management, the previously defined laboratory services and the deployment of our employees in this project lies with Eurofins PSS.
As a Scientist in the R&D Process Development team, you will have the opportunity to develop and improve pharmaceutical (biologics) manufacturing processes. Your role will involve planning experiments, operating filtration systems, analyzing data, and writing reports. You will focus on protein purification process development and improvement, including the development of scale-down models, evaluation of new technologies, and statistical data evaluation.
Responsibilities
Independently plan, perform, and evaluate experiments related to process development studies for plasma products
Write and review protocols and reports for experiments and studies
Take an active role in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes
Support and train new team members to successfully perform experiments
Perform routine maintenance and calibration on critical instrumentation
Procure, collect, prepare, and distribute samples, coordinating with other departments, such as R&D bioanalytical team, QC, or manufacturing
Support the creation of process designs for development work and scale-up to pilot plant
University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Process Development. Higher postgraduate degrees (e.g., Masters or PhD) will be well regarded
Independent planning, conducting, and supervising laboratory experiments for process development studies in plasma products
Data evaluation and analysis using sound statistical methods
Experience with Data Processing Software (e.g., JMP or R)
Familiarity with Quality by Design principles, including Design of Experiments (DoE), will be well regarded
Good scientific report writing and presentation skills
Interest in lab work (approx. 70% lab and 30% office)
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills
Near native/fluent in German and/or English. Highly proficient in both languages will be well regarded
