The Licensed Aircraft Engineer is responsible for:

• Completion and on-time delivery of maintenance tasks on the Lufthansa Technik customer aircraft in compliance with the contracted services and customer expectations

• Performing inspection, repair and modification work as well as component replacement, based on current authorization and training level
• Ensuring the equipment, tools and premises in charge are maintained to satisfactory standards and that discrepancies are reported to the appropriate departments, both within and outside the company
• Communicate at all times with customer liaison engineers, MCC and customer service reps. to ensure that they are fully informed of any development
• Responsible for the standard of work carried out by him/herself and those under his/her control
• Compliance with regulatory rules and regulations
• Delivering highest level of health & safety and quality standards in the industry
• Reporting directly to Supervisor
• Shift work on rotation minimum 60% of night shift

The ideal Licensed Aircraft Engineer should meet the following requirements:

• Experience in working in an Aviation MRO environment, base maintenance experience is considered as a plus

• For the required certifications, B1 and B2 for the B777 are mandatory.
• Certification B787 and A320 is considered as a plus.
• Copy of Part 66 license and experience logbook must be included in the uploaded documentation. Applications submitted without these documents may not be considered
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• High degree of customer focus and sense of responsibility
• Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, on all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate working knowledge according to health and safety legislation
• Flexible, able to work under pressure and able to work night shift and weekends
• Hold a full driver license

Lufthansa Technik Milan current capability includes Airbus A320 Family, A330, 737NG, 777, 787 and A350. Since September 2010 Lufthansa Technik Milan is approved for A-Checks on A330 and Base Maintenance on A320 Family enabling it to carry out more extensive maintenance work at the Malpensa base like for example engine and APU changes, structural repairs, complex modification, engine washes, air turbine tests, borescope inspections and full engine run-ups amongst other services.
