available at the Institut für Computational Genomic Medicine in Prof. Marcel Schulz‘ Group () , at the Goethe-University of Frankfurt (Germany).

The contract is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility of an extension.

Salary scale to be determined based on previous work experience, following the collective agreement applicable to the Goethe University.

Prospective start date: 1 June 2024 Aufgaben:
Tasks:
  • Development of methods for the analysis of OMICs data (e.g. single cell and spatial transcriptomics data)
  • Testing and implementation of different machine learning approaches for the analysis of gene regulation
  • Participation in national and international co-operations in the context of cardiovascular disease research
  • Publication in scientific conferences and journals
  • Participation in national and international conferences
Qualifikationsprofil:
General requirements:
  • Master degree in Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • good programming skills
  • experience in the application of machine learning methods
  • experience in the analysis of sequencing data is a plus
  • we are working in an interdisciplinary team and are looking for people with good organizational and communication skills, as well as high creativity to address novel research problems
  • good knowledge of the English language
