ABOUT THE ROLE
The Transparency International Secretariat is currently seeking a Project Associate (m/f/d)to join the Projects Team, to support the implementation of ongoing projects in the regions of Europe and Central Asia (ECA) and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions: The Building Integrity and National Accountability in Lebanon (BINA) and The Digital Technologies for Civic Empowerment in Kyrgyzstan (DT4CE).
The Building Integrity and National Accountability in Lebanon (BINA)project co-implemented with Transparency International Lebanon and the Lebanese Centre for Policy Studies (LCPS). The project provides trainings, mentorship, and knowledge to CSOs, municipalities and citizen groups. The project works on collective advocacy towards reform processes and monitors governments, state institutions and the general Reform, Recovery and Reconstruction Framework (3RF) implementation process following the Beirut port explosion in 2020. This would be approximately 80-85% of the role.
The Digital Technologies for Civic Empowerment in Kyrgyzstan (DT4CE) project co-implemented with Transparency International Kyrgyzstan. The project aims to increase the potential of local CSOs in Kyrgyzstan to contribute towards addressing critical governance issues that continue to affect the development of the country. DT4CE aims to improve existing digital tools and build new ones that are accessible, direct, and interactive, with the goal of empowering citizens to hold duty bearers to account and claim their legitimate interests. This would be approximately 15-20% of the role.
OVERVIEW OF KEY DIMENSIONS
Role Purpose: The Project Associate (m/f/d)is responsible for helping to coordinate the workflow, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), partner reporting and administrative and financial management of the BINA project and DT4CE projects, and ensuring that agreed goals, best practice standards, donor obligations and TI-S regulations are met relating to project implementation and MEL by TI-S and partners.

Contract Duration:Currently we can offer an employment contract up to the end of 2025, with potential further extension subject to performance and available funding

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Based in the Projects Team, the Project Associate (m/f/d) will:
Proactively support day-to-day project implementation of the two projects in the Projects Team, ensuring consistency with TI-S processes, procedures and best practice standards
Strive for high-quality outputs and the greatest possible impact of project activities to advance the anti-corruption agenda in the two countries
Work in close collaboration and ensure ongoing communication with project partners in the two countries, particularly in relation to ensuring high quality and consistent standards of monitoring data, donor reporting and sub-grant management and administration
Support project leads and partners to monitor and evaluate project/programme advocacy interventions and impact, ensure high quality and consistent MEL data collection, analysis, reporting, and strengthen gender and inclusion mainstreaming activities
Support the coordination of work and information flow between the projects and other internal teams (e.g. Finance, Policy & Advocacy, Global Movement, Communications, Research) ensuring process integrity, as well as coordinating regular updates within the team
Support the preparation of project proposals and outputs, including narrative/accountability reports, trainings, events, presentations, publications, communications materials, web content, etc. and financial administration processes
Support the organisation of events/meetings and related logistics; contribute to appropriate information management including preparing documentation before and after events
Support grant management and financial administration of the project (monitoring budgets, contracting support, organising funding transfers, reimbursements, invoices etc.)
Contribute to the overall functioning of the team by providing proactive and ad hoc support where necessary and undertake administrative tasks related to the day-to-day operational running of project work as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
In order to succeed in this role, candidates will need to meet the following:
University degree in social sciences, administration, journalism, economics, management, or another relevant field
2+ years of relevant experience - preferably with an International NGO or International Organisation - working on project management, grant management, budget/financial monitoring, MEL support or related
Knowledge of, or considerable interest in, the work of TI and the field, of anti-corruption
Knowledge of public procurement and capacity building an advantage
Experience in supporting and reporting on complex donor-funded projects in the civil society field, familiarity with European Commission/Union rules and regulations essential
Previous regional or national experience an advantage
Experience of partner grant/sub-grant management and administration a distinct advantage
Experience in organising major events with diverse international partners, in-person and remote, and meetings and workshops with project partners to support the development and roll-out of project MEL frameworks and processes
Experience with supporting/strengthening gender and inclusion mainstreaming an advantage
Excellent organisational and planning skills, structured approach to working and ability to effectively support projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and able to work flexibly across projects as needed
Results orientation, resilience and tenacity with the ability to work under pressure in a collaborative setting, with exceptional attention to detail and high quality standards of data task delivery
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and network effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication in English and Arabic. French and / or Russian an advantage
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and intercultural communication skills, particularly at distance communication
