About the job
The Head of Finance at Foxway GmbH oversees all financial aspects of the company, including payroll, financial reporting, budget planning, and compliance. This role involves leading the local finance team, optimizing processes, and liaising with external stakeholders. The manager plays a crucial role in strategic decision-making and ensuring the company's financial health.
- Oversee the company's entire accounting system, including payroll and business transactions.
- Provide leadership to the Finance department (accounting & controlling), ensuring technical and disciplinary standards are met.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and participate in budget planning.
- Serve as the internal point of contact for VAT and transfer pricing issues, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Prepare annual financial statements for external audit.
- Organize and improve accounting processes and financial efficiency.
- Manage payment transactions and cash flow.
- Act as a liaison for external stakeholders such as tax consultants and auditors.
- Support ERP system development.
- Assist in strategic initiatives and M&A activities.
- Prepare reports, forecasts and ad-hoc analyses to support management decisions.
- As a member of the GmbH management team, contribute actively to achieving results and fostering business growth.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, with at least 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including HGB.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and reports, budget planning, and managing cash flow.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed financial decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in M&A activities and due diligence processes is a plus.
