Job description
PURPOSE
The Global Sales Development team develops best-in-class and future oriented tools, processes, policies and guidance to enable the markets to achieve operational excellence and commercial success. As part of the Global Trade Investment team, you will support the Global and Market sales organizations in achieving profitable market share growth by managing and maintaining the foundational workstreams of the trade investment function across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (to be performed in alignment with global and local guidelines)
- Manage, update and regularly review the Global Trade Investment and Global Clearance policies
- Manage the annual trade investment framework process with the markets, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Manage and monitor exceptional trade investment requests; support markets in submission process and analysis of exceptional discount trends
- Collaborate with market teams to drive adherence to policy guidelines and defined TI frameworks
- Support wider Global Trade Investment Team on execution of team priorities
- Ensure creation & distribution of comms and training material for managed tools and processes to markets
- Implement a high standard and agile approach to project management and effective communication methodology
- Build trustworthy relationships and an effective and collaborative network across channels and departments
KNOWLEDGE, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Sales experience in international SGI, FMCG, Consumer Electronics and/ or management consultancy
- Operational Wholesale Market experience (e.g. Sales/ Trade Marketing) is a plus
- High degree of commercial knowledge and business acumen
- Strong understanding of Wholesale processes, KPIs and ability to influence others
- Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, facilitation, negotiation)
- Demonstrable analytical, planning and organizational skills (e.g. project management and strategic development)
- Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity
- Creative, open-minded and agile team player
- Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Skills and abilities in another language are a benefit
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in business, ideally with Sales/Marketing or Retail focus
- 4 years+ experience in Sporting Goods, FMCG, Consumer Electronics or management consultancy
- Cross-functional experience ideally with Marketing/ Finance/ Global Operations/ SCM
- Experience within different countries and/or different cultures
- 2 years+’ experience in Project Management or Account Management
