Job description
To develop the team, we are looking for a Senior Accountant (M/F/X) . The office is located in the city center of Luxembourg.
The company is a shared services center handling the business of a large fortune. They are responsible for the accounting, tax and corporate aspects of 17 entities. The team in Luxembourg is composed of 5 professionals.
Your tasks for this position
- Managing the daily accounting operations of the entities (mainly holding)
- Independent preparation of annual accounts according to Luxgaap
- Preparing required financial statements on a regular basis
- Being a major point of contact for shareholders to deal with accounting and reporting matters
- Preparing VAT and tax returns
- Preparing and participating in shareholders 'meetings
- Ensure adherence to accounting regulations and internal controls, as well as support external audits
- Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices
For this position, your qualifications will be:
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics or similar qualification
- You have at least 4 years of relevant experience in the fields of accounting or finance
- You have strong knowledge of national accounting principles and financial reporting practices
- You have excellent skills in Excel
- You are fluent in French and have good communication skills in English
- You are a good team player, positive with a pro-active attitude
- You can work autonomously
- You have the ability to provide efficient, timely and courteous service to our shareholders
- You always take a solution oriented approach to resolving problems
