The Institute of Mathematics at the University of Lübeck is looking to hire a

Postdoctoral research scientist (m/f/d)

The position is available for 4 years (1.0 full time equivalent: 38.7h/week), starting as soon as possible.

Tasks:

• Participation and engagement in research projects in the area stochastics, biomathematic and/or theoretical biology, in particular together with researchers from the University atLübeck and/or from other nearby research institutes, like the Max-Planck-Institute forEvolutionary Biology in Plön
• Teaching at the Institute for Mathematics for 4 semester hours per week

Requirements:

• PhD in mathematics, biomathematics, theoretical biology or a related field and excellentknowledge in the area of stochastic processes, biomathematics and/or theoretical biology.
• Interest in collaborations with researchers from the University at Lübeck and/or from othernearby research institutes.
• Experience in interdisciplinary research is preferable.
