The new project \"Promotion of climate-friendly, water- and energy-efficient solar-based small-scale irrigation systems\" - Sun4Water is a BMZ contribution to the international donor initiative \"Water and Energy for Food \" (WE4F). Sun4Water is funded by the German Climate and Technology Initiative (DKTI) and aims to promote the dissemination of targeted and sustainable-use approaches of small-scale irrigation systems in selected countries in East and West Africa. Sun4water will act in close cooperation with existing projects at place. Its main pillars are (i) capacity development for the dissemination and use of climate friendly and sustainable solar irrigation systems (SPIS), (ii) the development and establishment of context-oriented finance services to improve access to technology, (iii) the integration of lessons learned in the policy framework to foster appropriate SPIS, (iv) and the further development and adaptation of the SPIS toolbox. At the global level, a network will be established for sharing knowledge and experience gained from projects working on the water-energy-food nexus in German and international technical cooperation. Lessons learned and best practices will be synthesized and translated into appropriate, partly digital, learning and training programs, and knowledge products.
During your internship you will have the following tasks:
Supporting the general project management and coordination of the program Supporting the planning and implementation of activities in the field of innovative agricultural practices, private sector engagement, climate change and global agenda setting Participating in the conceptualization, preparation and follow-up of events (conferences, workshops, meetings etc.) Preparing presentation materials and knowledge products Supporting the stakeholder management (e.g. internal/external partners, partner organizations, Nexus-related networks) Support in Communications of the project (content creation and layout for social media, website, newsletter, talking points for events)Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
We pay a monthly stipend of €2.064,- (gross).
