Needit Deutschland GmbH is looking for an experienced
Accountant (Buchhalter) (m/w/d).

About the Role
- As our sole accountant in Germany, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team. This position requires a solid understanding of all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Supporting your local sales and logistics colleagues, as well as assisting the parent company in Denmark with financial matters, will enable you to contribute to our growth and strategic decision-making.
- You will be reporting to the CFO in Denmark and our local branch manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Ongoing management and operation of accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial, and asset accounting.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for the head office in Denmark and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German accounting standards).
- Handling all financial transactions and providing related support to the Danish parent company.
- Collaboration with financial and tax auditors, providing information and supporting documentation.
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns, Intrastat reports, and other mandatory reporting, including submissions.
Your Qualifications
- Completed commercial exam (Fachoberschule Wirtschaft or higher), combined with practical office training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience from similar roles with full responsibility for bookkeeping, VAT, and other regulatory reporting in a small entity.
- Experience working for a company trading on Amazon/E-commerce.
- Proficiency in Datev software. Knowledge of Xentral and/or Uniconta is an advantage.
- Familiarity with MS Office and strong experience with Excel.
- Language skills: Mother tongue German and good English skills (written and spoken).
