Headquartered in Berlin, the organization is run by a diverse team and works with local partners around the world.

Your mission

As Head of HR (all genders), you and your team will support the organisation in achieving its development goals. You will oversee our growing organisation with currently over 125 employees and align your actions with our international needs and our organisational strategy.


Overview of the position:
Hours: Full-time (39 hours per week)
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: permanent contract
Location: Berlin, Germany
Reports to: Executive Director

• Drive and execute the HR strategy
• Optimizing, developing & implementing HR standards, processes and structures
• Act as an advisor to Management in all HR-related matters
• Professional and disciplinary responsibility for the HR team (4 employees)
• Carrying out and ensuring efficient and legally compliant HR management
• Constructive and trusting cooperation with the works council
• Ensure HR reporting and monitoring KPi’s
• Responsible for annual personnel budget planning

Your knowledge, experience & skills

• Completed studies or a comparable academic qualification
• At least 8 years of experience in operational and strategic HR covering all relevant aspects of HR
• Ideally experience in organizational development
• Very good knowledge and application of German labour law
• Ideally international experience
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking and strong communication skills
• Excellent English and German language skills
