Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. Your role: The QMS Lead oversees the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS across the entire company. Additionally, they will specifically manage units in Böblingen and London (Procurement, SCM, SQE, HR, Finance, IT, and Commercial) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable management systems.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Define, implement, maintain, and improve a QMS organization in all Business Units Lead QMS team members (PCD and QMRD) to assure ISO9001 certification and later IATF 16949 certifications across all locations in Germany, Great Britain, and France.
- Lead and assure the ISO9001 certification across all locations in co-operation with all Business Units and Management.
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, budget and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Lead IT projects needed for Audits Management
- Track project timelines as well as aligned action lists and due dates by creating on-time transparency regarding to potential overdues. Arrange and manage workshops in case of deviation and escalate if necessary
- Define, implement, maintain and improve a process organization across all locations aligned with all business units. Set up a mindset of process thinking as basis for continuous improvement.
- Set up a QMS organization (PCD, QMRD, etc.) for structured initial and continuous training (e.g., new ISO requirements) according to business needs.
- Support and train fellow employees to foster their buy-in to the QMS.
- Lead the bi-yearly Management Report at the director's level, collaborating with all Business Units across all locations.
- Define, implement, and maintain a top down QMS KPI set aligned with all Business Units
- Builds up and coordinates a process-oriented organization with regular process reviews as source for continuous improvement
- Conducts and checks risks and opportunities assessments for QMS with BU, identifies improvements regarding efficiency, stability, and quality.
What we are looking for:
- an academic degree, if possible, with an initial Quality oriented background or additional training (Quality Management), hence familiar with Q-methods (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D..), norm requirements, document control systems
- 5-7 years experience acquired at either a Tier 1/2 automotive supplier or automotive OEM as an internal auditor IATF 16949 or ISO 9001
- Years of experience in a role requiring a strong understanding of norm requirements and process modeling.
- certified internal auditor (ISO19011:2018) is a must.
- the ability to think analytically, prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
- A strong communicator with a team-oriented mindset, moderation skills, and the ability to convincingly express ideas, while also being empathetic yet persuasive.
- QMB, ISO19011, VDA6.3 auditor…
- A Project Management and/or change management certification is beneficial.
- Strong project leadership skills.
- An outgoing and confident disposition with excellent teamwork and networking skills, enabling effective interaction with colleagues, managers, and external contacts.
- Willingness to travel for business trips.
- Proficiency in both German and English is mandatory, with knowledge of French considered advantageous.
