After a peak in growth over the last few years, they are looking for a Senior Buyer for Stamping Parts professional
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Buyer for Stamping Parts, you will play a key role in managing the purchasing activities with a focus on stamping parts, ensuring the procurement of high-quality components. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for stamping parts to optimise costs, quality, and delivery time lines.
- Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while actively seeking and evaluating potential new suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favourable agreements.
- Cost Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value engineering, and process optimisation. Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that all stamping parts meet or exceed established quality standards. Address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure a stable and reliable source of stamping parts.
- Volume Management: Oversee a purchasing volume of 100 million euros, managing budgets effectively and optimising procurement processes to achieve cost-efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or similar role, with a focus on stamping parts within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing a purchasing volume of at least 100 million euros.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the stamping parts market, suppliers, and industry trends.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
