Job description
The first position will focus on implementing machine-learning emulators for glacier hydrological processes and undertaking numerical simulations of glacierised mountain catchments worldwide. The position also requires some fieldwork in the European Alps to collect training and validation data.
Notwendige Qualifikationen:
A Masters degree in a related subject(such as glaciology, geoscience, applied mathematics, engineering, computer science)
Wünschenswerte Qualifikationen:
Previous experience in numerical modelling, machine learning, andglacial hydrology would be an advantage.Previous fieldwork experience in glaciological environments is also desirable.

Candidates will be based at the Institute of Geography at FAU (), with a lively working environment and many research interests.
