Overview

We’re partnering with a high growth, acquisitive company software company, based in Markham, looking to add to their finance team. The position supports a high profile business unit, the successful candidate managing an established team and playing a key role in strategic initiatives. If you are established Manager at a major public accounting firm or qualified at Big 4 with relevant post public accounting experience, are driven and have an entrepreneurial spirit this role could be ideal.

Opportunity Details

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Preparation of period end corporate and lender reporting and financial statements
• Ensure a smooth and efficient month end close process
• Oversee FP&A related activities
• Manager, coach and supervise a team of finance professionals
• Technical review of contracts and accounting memos to assess impact under IFRS
• Lead post acquisition integration process
• Execute ad hoc initiatives/special projects required by the CFO & Managing Director

The company is offering an excellent compensation package, full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) at a major public accounting firm
• A minimum of 1 full years experience at Manager level/supervising a team
• A strong understanding of IFRS is required, revenue recognition (IFRS 15) specifically is a significant asset
• Self-confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills
