Job description
Our client is looking for an estimator to join their civil team. The civil construction estimator is responsible for accurately assessing the costs of construction projects. They play a vital role in making informed decisions and securing profitable projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Evaluation: Analyzing specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to understand the scope and requirements.
Cost Estimation: Calculating material, labour, equipment, and overhead costs to prepare accurate project estimates.
Bid Preparation: Developing competitive bids that align with project budgets and timelines.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and quotes.
Cost Analysis: Evaluating and refining cost estimates as necessary, considering various factors and potential risks.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of cost estimates, bids, and related documentation.
Communication: Providing clear and transparent estimates to clients and project stakeholders.
Continuous Learning: Staying updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods to improve accuracy in estimating.
