Job description
The successful candidate will work with the new product development team in the Industrial Manufacturing Engineering department – specifically in the Ski-doo and Spyder chassis team. As a member of the team and reporting to the Team Leader, the successful individual will be responsible for:
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Work on the development, design and testing of various machines, tooling and mechanical systems for the manufacture of new Ski-doo and Spyder parts.
- Support production and maintenance with manufacturing problems and non-conformities created by welding equipment (FSW). Follow-up on related corrective actions.
- Define and implement machine improvement concepts for health and safety.
- Define and create work methods and instructions.
- Work with external suppliers on the development of mechanical components as well as determine the deadlines and standards to be observed.
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- A mechanical engineering bachelor's degree with a strong mechanical mindset.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
- Good CAD design skills (Catia would be an asset).
- Experience in project management.
- Demonstrated leadership, autonomy and creativity.
- Bilingualism is essential, both written and spoken, since suppliers in this field are outside Quebec.
