Mount Carmel Bible College

Job description

Mount Carmel Bible College is a one-year discipleship program that exists to disciple students for the Lord Jesus Christ. All staff are committed to involvement with students in ways that will nurture passionate Christian faith and living, both as individuals and within a faith community. Active discipleship in the lives of students is the primary role of all staff.

We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our staff team as an instructor of New Testament. This is a full time position that runs from mid-August to the end of April (40 hours a week for 8.5 months of the year). This role requires active participation in all aspects of our program including one-on-one discipleship, trips, events, and group service opportunities. It likewise involves teaching daily New Testament classes over the Fall and Winter semesters at an introductory, post-secondary, and discipleship-oriented level. These classes will be taught from an evangelical perspective and will give students an introduction to the overall narrative of the New Testament and a foundational understanding of the Christian life. Although classes should generally be standardized to institutional expectations, the exact content can be shaped around the successful candidate’s interest and passion.

As a discipleship school, the qualified candidate must have a vital, transforming relationship with God that qualifies them to serve as a godly role model for young adults. In addition, they will use their passion for communicating God’s word in a classroom setting not only to communicate academic truths but also to ignite interest in applying what is learned.
