Description
- Proficient at staff scheduling, guest reservations and through knowledge of booking systems.
- Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting principles
- Regularly interacting with guests is necessary to ensure their satisfaction and build relationships for returning guests.
- Developing and updating a comprehensive Spa Procedures manual that includes written policies and procedures for all spa and services, administration, and maintenance.
- Ensuring that all employees have the necessary licensure and certifications making sure the team is highly trained and provides exceptional services while sharing relevant brand/product information is essential.
- Working with the team to make sure staff has a strong working knowledge of all products, services, and guest protocols and rituals.
- Leading the Spa retail vision, creating and building retail sales business opportunities, and monitoring sales operations to maximize sales and minimize losses.
- Overseeing the Pool Safety Program.
- Ensuring all guests receive the highest service and hospitality from all spa associates is necessary.
- Filling in wherever necessary to ensure that the guest experience is never
- compromised because of operational challenges by providing direct service to guests as needed is a priority.
- Keeping all equipment clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and following the spa preventative maintenance schedule.
- Scheduling service staff as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
- Demonstrating the ability to lead and build capable teams and being a steward of their culture is essential.
- Being actively involved and visibly present in the daily operation of guests and your associates is necessary.
- Being responsible for maintaining a Safe & Comfortable work environment for all teammembers, ensuring all health and safety protocols are implemented and maintained, and guaranteeing any health procedures are executed as needed
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of senior Spa Leadership experience
- A degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management would be an asset.
- Experience managing a staff of 30+
- Experience developing and monitoring operational budgets.
- Demonstrated experience leading, motivating, coaching, and developing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
- Computer friendly with a strong proficiency in MS Office Programs.
- Must be able to multi-task and manage in high-volume, and high-stress environments.
- Possess a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. You can frequently lift up to 30 pounds and work in a standing position for long periods (up to 10 hours).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (Including mornings, nights, weekends
- Ability to work and remain calm and professional under potentially stressful situations to ensure guest satisfaction
