About the BCLDB:
The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

Retail Operations, encompassing the three retail business units of Merchandising, Marketing and Store Operations, is responsible for the daily operations of the 198 BC Liquor Stores. The Retail division develops and executes key strategies to drive business, creates systems and processes, and establishes daily retail procedures to maximize operational excellence, while upholding BCLDB’s core values of service, relationships, and results. About this role:
Reporting to the Content & Production Manager, the Content & Production Specialist is responsible for coordinating the operational activities related to TASTE magazine, which supports the BCLIQUOR (BCL) brand. This can also include inserts/brochures/digital content as required. This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of TASTE magazine content & production.
The TASTE magazine, projects the image, standards, and brand values of the LDB as outlined in the overall marketing plan and LDB corporate strategy. It is intended to enhance customer satisfaction and optimize revenue.
The Content & Production Specialist works in a dynamic, results-oriented environment with frequently changing issues and priorities. To fulfil its responsibilities and achieve the goals and objectives of the Director and the LDB, the position must develop and maintain extensive relationships with several stakeholders including:
A criminal record check is required. A valid driver’s license is required.
Successful candidates must be able to occasionally travel overnight in B.C and must be able to lift 50lbs. Working conditions include hybrid work from office/from home model following LDB’s policies.

Position requirements:
Education and Experience:
Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, English, Communications, Publishing, or a related field and a minimum of 1 year of recent, related experience* as a member of a production or publication team (ie. advertising, print, media.)
OR
Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate and a minimum of 2 years of recent, related experience*.
