Our client is seeking an ambitious, confident, and analytical Accountant to join their team in a full time, permanent capacity. This position contributes to the overall corporate objectives through accurate completion and recording of financial reports and all other full cycle accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
• Process and record Pre-Authorized Payments.
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations and invoices.
• Complete month end procedures and reporting requirements.
• Prepare year end working papers for external financial statement audits.
• File GST/HST/PST/QST returns
• Maintain polies and procedure manual relevant to accounting responsibilities.

Requirements:

• CPA designation or in the final year of CPA program.
• 4+ years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and experience with Dynamics Great Plains is an asset.
• Strong work ethic, superior attention to detail and effective time management.
• Positive attitude with excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Exposure within a lending environment (banking and/or leasing) is an asset.
