As a District Manager for WOW! Mobile boutique covering the Alberta area, you will be an inspiring leader who has a passion for the retail and wireless industry with an outstanding record of driving sales and creating a community within a district.
What a day in a District Manager's role consists of:
- Achieve key business objectives including field visit reports, operational health checks, communications to the team, payroll processes, performance management, inventory reconciliation and HR related activities
- Manage sales trends within your district , and leverage a sales plan in order to maximize profit
- Validate district training initiatives, and ensure all employees have completed necessary training and coaching requirements , and address any underperforming associates or locations
- Ensure all locations are staffed appropriately according to the established guidelines , while monitoring hiring trends, and ensuring that hiring is comple ted in a proactive manner
- Management and coaching of all Sales Managers to ensure career development and succession planning is in place
- Ensure that all hiring is completed in proactive manner using appropriate organizational guidelines, as well as, responsible for retention and management of acceptable turnover rates
- Communicate clear expectations and hold store teams accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavioral standards
- Ensure all kiosk locations are accountable for inventory count and L oss Prevention concerns
- Monitor merchandising, marketing, and general look and feel of kiosks, while being a champion of our brand and partners and identifying new business opportunities.
- Participate in professional growth and development opportunities, and developmental programs offered
- Travel as per the needs of the business
- Ability to adapt and manage change
The skillset we are looking for:
- Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
- Strong management, coaching and leadership skills, developed in a retail organization and preferably within the wireless sector
- Ability to manage area budgets, forecast sales and retail metrics, set goals for your stores and team
- Multi-unit management experience, previous management of a remote workforce an asset
- Basic understanding of the fundamentals of recruitment
- Effective organization and planning skills with the ability to organize and schedule people and tasks, develop realistic action plans within time and resource constrains
- An understanding of merchandising a retail location to drive business
- Proven and genuine ability to drive sales, inspire and engage work team
- Travel as per business need
- Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to sit in a car for extended periods of time
- Ability to turn, bend, walk frequently
