As a compounding pharmacy assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored medication options to patients. You will be responsible for compounding and preparing customized medications following precise formulas and established protocols. Your attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory guidelines will be essential in making sure that our compounded medications are safe. 

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

• Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products and medications accurately and efficiently based on specific prescriptions and dosage requirements. 
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients to prepare non-sterile compounded medications, following prescription orders.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compounding guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Perform quality control checks to verify compounded medications' integrity, potency, and stability. 
• Maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness and organization within the compounding lab to prevent cross-contamination.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other team members to ensure a high level of patient care and satisfaction.
• Perform various administrative functions. 
• Order supplies and equipment. 
  

What you have to offer:

• Strong knowledge of compounding techniques, equipment, processes, and regulations. (Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 2 years of compounding experience in a pharmacy setting).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas. 
• Exceptional organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure proper inventory management. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and patient safety.
