Advantages

Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound and outbound traffic in conjunction with the warehouse site manager and dispatch, to ensure highest level of service at lowest costs provided.
- Manage loading/unloading and freight handling arrangements, to provide maximum efficiency and minimize handling costs.
- Monitor and ensure all inbound and outbound shipments moved through the Montreal Terminal are moved expeditiously each day without delay or over hold

- Monitor and manager outbound trailer and container utilization to ensure cube utilization is optimized
- Monitor and manager contracted city cartage, owner operators, ensuring they maintain a high standard of driver competence, service, safety and that all contracted equipment projects a positive image and to Company Specifications.
- Maintain rolling equipment domiciled at the Montreal Terminal in a safe and clean condition to those of the highest industry standards
- Maintain good relationships with all departments and terminals promoting co-operation and efficiency
- Ensure terminal operations comply with all government regulations.
- Review operating practices and procedures on an ongoing basis, promotion efficiency and safety.
- Monitor outbound loads to ensure loading accuracy as well as audits of service levels being loaded.
- Manage and ensure that company operating software TM is being kept up to date with accurate entries
- Monitor and manage all operational activities as assigned by the Montreal Manager, including timely pickups and delivery of containers to and from the corresponding rail yards.
- Ensure the Terminal SOP's are being followed
- Any other duties assigned by the Terminal Manager

Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience as an Operations Manager and must have in-depth knowledge of dispatch system, routing and dock procedures.
- Experience in team management and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of LTL and FTL
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English & French
