Job Brief
This position will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager. The candidate will be required to coordinate blasting services to clients throughout Southern Ontario, which includes the explosives storing facility of Hagersville.

What You’ll Do
As the Operations Supervisor, you will coordinate blasting services to clients throughout Southern Ontario. This position is field oriented, will spend most of her time visiting customers and the facilities. Other duties will include:
- To provide supervision to Blaster’s and crews working blast sites in the SW ON region.
- Arrange for services needed to efficiently layout, drill, deliver products, blast and monitor blasts for aggregate customers in the region
- Work closely with the sites to coordinate the needed personnel to safely and efficiently carry out the blasting operation.
- Order and manage site inventory (package and bulk)
- Ensure that all regulations, both federally (TDG, Explosives Act, Bulk Regulations, WHIMIS) and provincially (OH&S) are adhered to within the operation in regard to personnel workings, product storage, and product transportation.
- Assist with conducting monthly safety meetings for site personnel, and data reporting
- Ensuring that company policies, safe work practices, hazard analysis, and standard operating procedures are up-to-date and followed by the employees.
- Keep track and plan maintenance of equipment fleet.
- Assist in annual Budgeting for personnel and equipment needed for the forecasted season.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum educational requirements: Post-secondary education is an asset. As an alternate, completion of high school (Grade 12) with extensive experience in the related fields.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in management and supervision in a similar role
- Good leadership to engage employees
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
- Computer skills and an ability to communicate effectively in the terminology related to the field in the form of verbal and written reports
- A positive professional and courteous attitude is an asset when dealing with customers on a daily basis.
- Position requires to spend time on field traveling between facilities and customers sites (75%)
- Good physical condition is required with the ability to repeatedly handle 25 kilogram units.
- G Drivers License is required.
