Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Barista/ Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, operating the espresso machine, preparing various bubble tea and coffee beverages, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The wage for this position will be based off experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring a positive experience for all customers .

2. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding menu items.

3. Prepare and serve a variety of bubble tea and coffee beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos, ensuring quality and consistency.

4. Operate the espresso machine and other coffee-making equipment in a safe and proficient manner.

5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the espresso machine, coffee preparation stations, and customer seating areas.

6. Restock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring availability throughout the day.

7. Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following proper cash handling procedures.

8. Assist with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other menu items.

9. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

10. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.

11. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.

12. Stay updated on current coffee trends and industry developments to provide an exceptional coffee experience to customers.

13. Perform EOD duties such as mopping, sweeping, changing the garbage, cleaning the bathroom, and other company duties.

Requirements:

1. Previous barista experience preferred

2. Previous experience in customer service or the food and beverage industry is preferred but not required.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.

5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

6. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

7. A friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for providing excellent customer service.

8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

9. Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and familiarity with different coffee beverages is a plus.
