Job description
Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Program Manager. As a Program Manager, where your expertise is in program management, strategic guidance, and technical proficiency. In this pivotal role, you will navigate the intricacies of stakeholder dynamics, oversee the full spectrum of program management, and provide leadership in IT/Business programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the success of impactful projects aligned with the Ontario Government's strategic objectives.
Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.
Criteria:
Program Management:
Provide program management standards, methodology, and guidance to project leaders.
Oversee all aspects of program management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
Balance competing demands for quality/scope, time, and cost while adapting plans for stakeholder concerns.
Assess the value and effectiveness of assigned programs/projects in line with business priorities.
Ensure delivery of Program Management artifacts with high quality.
Coordinate integrated program/project plans and interdependencies.
Strategic Advice:
Provide strategic advice to senior executives and project leaders.
Leadership, Communication:
Lead large IT/Business programs through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Offer direction and leadership for operational change management programs.
Navigate a matrix organization and support cross-functional teams.
Excel in executive-level reporting .
Technical Skills:
Utilize Agile Software Development experience.
Apply knowledge of data analytics and the development of architectural documents.
Handle legacy system data migrations and data validation.
Plan and document knowledge transfer details.
Create workflows, familiarize with n-Tier Design and Windows-based platforms.
Embrace security and privacy by design principles.
Implement ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) principles.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in Ontario government's I&IT organization.
Knowledge of Ontario government policies and procedures.
Familiarity with Ontario's Digital Service Standard, 2021 Deliverables.
