Rate of Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 Annually

 

The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic administrative professional to join Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO.

 

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing all facets of excellent administrative support to the President & CEO and the Foundation Board of Directors. The EA acts as the point person for internal and external stakeholders in a demanding and professional environment. They are responsible for managing schedules, producing first-rate documentation, governance activity oversight with respect to Board of Directors operations, and anticipating the professional needs of the President & CEO and the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

 

In addition, the EA will be required to work closely with the Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team and their administrative assistants, interacting with business and community leaders, donors of all levels, vendors and professional affiliates.

 

These responsibilities are accomplished while actively participating in a fast-paced, team environment with multiple priorities and competing deadlines.

JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University and is designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus includes the state-of-art Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, featuring a new Emergency Department, 172 acute inpatient beds, 9 new Operating Rooms, and a post-anesthetic care unit to support expanded medical, surgical, and outpatient services. JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team.

With the successful conclusion of the capital campaign, the Foundation continues to raise $10M+ annually and is poised to leverage the overwhelming support of the community to support new and emerging priorities which will continue to support our Hospital’s vision of providing exceptional healthcare.

 

In January 2024, the Foundation announced a lead gift of $5M to the For All Minds Campaign, which will support of the redevelopment of Mental Health and Addictions care spaces at JBH.

 

The Foundation is governed by a team of community volunteer leaders and is managed by a dedicated staff of professionals who ensure that every donation is used effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of patients and their families.

Compensation: Target salary range is $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits/pension (HOOPP) package and eligibility for annual merit incentive.
