Drake International is excited to partner with a leading logistics company, recognized globally for its excellence in logistics and supply chain solutions. We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is based in Saint-Laurent, and offers the successful candidate an opportunity to contribute significantly to our strategic sales growth targets and the execution of key priorities within the Canadian market.
Purpose of the Position:
The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by managing existing complex accounts and securing new business opportunities. This position entails selling our comprehensive range of products and solutions, aligning cross-functional teams throughout the sales cycle, and driving value-added solutions with significant potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate business across air/sea freight and customs, focusing on strategic and key accounts.
- Maintain and develop relationships with complex customers to foster business growth.
- Mentor sales representatives within the organization.
- Participate in strategic management efforts, leveraging industry knowledge to meet customer supply chain needs and develop strategic proposals.
- Manage sales activities, account appointments, and reports using CRM tools.
- Foster long-term partnerships with accounts, translating our global capabilities into customer value.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the area of responsibility.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Economics/Marketing or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience and a minimum of 5 years in sales.
- Strong understanding of the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and French; additional languages are an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Office Software and proficiency in CRM tools.
