Alberta Transportation has awarded Aecon Transportation West with a $20 million and $45 million contracts for the Deerfoot Trail Improvements project, located in Calgary, Alberta . The scope of the work includes excavation and lining of a storm retention pond, addition of 7.5km of north and south bound lanes, with the casting of 5 km of median concrete barriers, replacement and upgrading of streetlighting and overhead sign structures along the 7.5km stretch. As well as improvements to the Beddington and McKnight interchanges. Improvements include construction of a ramp to connect 11th street to Deerfoot and Beddington. At McKnight Blvd there will be interchange upgrades with additional ramp lanes and collector roadways alongside storm drainage improvements.  Construction is scheduled for completion by end of 2024.  

The Project Coordinator will provide field-engineering information to the project management team and sub-trades to ensure construction works comply with all the design drawings, engineering, standards, codes, and specifications. This role will sit out of our Calgary, Alberta site office location.
