CONTROLLER
OBJECTIVE

We are seeking an accomplished accounting professional for a Controller role with our client. In this position, you’ll play a pivotal role in steering the financial aspects of daily operations within the finance department. Your responsibilities will extend to coordinating financial planning and budget management functions alongside the executive team, offering guidance, fostering process improvement, and exhibiting leadership.
This opportunity promises a dynamic environment with significant potential for career progression. The Controller role has the potential to evolve into a Director or CFO position within 3 to 4 years as the company advances.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
- Manage financial health for optimal returns.
- Conduct Financial Analysis and devise strategies for revenue growth.
- Enforce Financial Controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders and team members.
- Provide advice and support for decision-making.
- Communicate financial performance and forecasts.
- Streamline and improve overall financial operations.
- Implement best accounting management practices.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and industry trends.
- Lead, mentor, and guide the finance and accounting team.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA is preferred but not required.
- Advantageous manufacturing industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in a controllership role.
- Progressive accounting experience, including Full-cycle Accounting and Financial closing.
- Strong leadership, professional ethics, self-motivation, accountability, and results orientation.
- Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks Pro or Enterprise is considered an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities.
- Proven success in training, developing others, and leading strong, stable teams.
