Our client, a well-established international company is looking for their next great Junior controller. Someone who could be ready to become a controller within 2 to 24 months. Working with the existing Senior controller you will be responsible for the month-end process, reconciliations and so much more, through time you will gain experience and responsibilities. Responsibilities
Thorough preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, including consolidated statements.
Coordination and supervision of the monthly financial closing process.
Effective oversight of financial operations management, including accounts payable and receivable.
Rigorous analysis of departmental financial performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.

Contribution to departmental budget preparation and analysis in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Development and monitoring of key performance indicators to assess the financial health of the company.
Validation and monitoring of inter-company transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
Ensuring compliance with payroll processing in accordance with applicable regulations.
Proactive management of company liquidity to ensure optimal financial stability.
Thorough preparation of year-end files for external audit by the accounting firm.
Timely submission of government remittances such as GST/HST and provisional tax installments.
Active participation in improving accounting practices to strengthen internal controls and optimize operational efficiency.
Close supervision of year-end closing process and preparation of annual financial statements.
Rigorous maintenance of accounting records to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Monthly monitoring of variances and preparation of necessary reports to inform management of financial performance.
Accurate and daily reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure balance accuracy.
Proactive supervision of monthly inventories to ensure accuracy of stock and financial valuations.
Adaptability to work in a multi-currency environment, effectively managing currency exchange fluctuations.
Methodical management of filing and retention of accounting and legal documents to ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate audits.

Qualifications
Bachelors in accounting or pre-CPA
CPA is an asset
3-5 years experience in accounting
Some experience within an accounting would be considered an asset
Bilingual Strong French required.
Strong knowledge of excel
