Hays Mechanical Contracting team has partnered with a growing company in Burnaby. Our client is a full-service Mechanical Contractor that specializes in plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, fire protection, and piping services. They are involved in a variety of projects from new build and retrofit to infrastructure expansions. They are a young and vibrant company that values relationship-based service.
Your new role
As the Mechanical Foreman, your job purpose will be to plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate projects from start to finish. Day-to-day field activities will vary depending on the size of the projects – generally consisting of small to medium projects. The successful candidate will be required to supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of Apprentices, Journeymen, and Junior staff members. Health and safety are paramount on site. This will be achieved by following safety standards, implementing safety training, running safety orientations, and reviewing company policies with your team.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as the Mechanical Foreman, you will bring 5+ years of plumbing experience and have your Red Seal. You will also be familiar with other aspects of mechanical construction. The key is to be approachable and professional. Previous experience working on institutional or retrofit projects is a bonus!
What you'll get in return
As the Mechanical Foreman, you will be entitled to earn a competitive hourly rate of $48-$58/hour. This can be increased/reviewed depending on experience, Company bonus, Vehicle Package or Gas Card, Extended Benefits, and 3+ Vacation.
