About the Company
Our client is a privately held Canadian company in the manufacturing industry. They are looking for a Director of FP&A who will be in the Corporate Finance team focusing on key priorities that include overseeing the key performance metrics, short and long-term financial planning, and strategic business analysis.

About the Opportunity - Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and improve the overall performance of the company
- Provide financial planning and analysis data to Management that is timely, accurate and insightful
- Provide general Finance guidance to support effective business operational and planning decisions
- Actively work with the operating groups to identify risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation plans as required
- Establish framework around strategic business planning process, and link strategic initiatives to performance
- Routinely communicate consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics that will improve our overall financial performance and allow the organization to reach or exceed its financial goals
- Prepare financial analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting packages, highlighting key areas of risk, reporting on achievement of corporate strategies, preparing net income walks and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Lead the strategic aspects of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes, coordinating those respective processes and preparing analysis and reporting decks
- Develop Corporate balanced scorecard across the various reporting units
- Monitor forecast tracking, cost reduction and cost savings initiatives
- Develop, support and analyze business cases to highlight financial impacts to leadership, and support various business initiatives
- Create new and supplemental reporting methods to assist in management of proactive problem-solving
- Liaise with Finance teams in the Corporate and Group Offices to ensure an effective communication process
- Understand key risk areas and potential future impacts on the organization
- Use ERP and reporting tools to assist in analysis processes
- Support ad hoc projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
About You - Professional designation (CPA, MBA or CFA)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, with minimum 5 years of business planning and value added reporting experience
- Strong analytical skills and attentive to details, with ability to analyze, synthesize and summarize data and identify relevant trends
Salary Range $160,000 - $180,000/year
