Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on CNC machinery, including horizontal mills and lathes.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance on saws, conveyors, hoists, and other capital equipment across all divisions.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues to support manufacturing operations.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as part of the company's Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Take part in company projects involving the installation, design, and repair of new or modified equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and drawings to determine repair methods.
- Identify and source replacement components for machinery and electrical repairs.
- Engage in Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and adhere to ISO requirements.
- Adhere to company safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, equipment safety, fall protection, ladder and lift equipment regulations, and OSHA confined space requirements.
- Uphold electrical safety practices and policies while repairing company equipment.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical CNC machine repairs, with PLC expertise
- Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics, along with the ability to navigate PLC software, is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Ontario Electrical Code and possession of an Ontario Electrical License are advantageous.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Competent in utilizing precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and Vernier calipers.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with employees, suppliers, and contractors at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational capabilities, capable of independently completing maintenance tasks.
- Proficient computer skills for communication with suppliers and sourcing necessary repair components.

Must Have Safety Equipment:
-Gloves, Hearing protection, Safety glasses and or face shields
-Safety harnesses for fall protection
-Safety shoes
-Flame retardant uniform
