Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to manage the day-to-day accounting activities for our Canadian and US operations. 

Responsibilities:

· Overseeing, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions

· Preparing and reviewing monthly and yearly financial statements for all companies

· Reconciling of all balance sheet accounts

· Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget

· Review of open and completed jobs and job costing accrual

· Coordinating activities of external auditors

· Monitoring and managing cash flow and develop reports for executives

· Assisting with business insurance, statutory reporting and other ad-hoc reporting as required

· Assessing and auditing current accounting processes and internal controls, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

· Developing and monitoring business performance metrics

· Regular financial analysis, identifying and managing financial risk, completing financial research, performing economic and sales forecasting, analyzing a company’s sales and overall performance, and managing financial data.

· Management of the accounting team lead (A/P, A/R), which includes, hiring, training, performance management, terminations etc.
