Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Lead Project Controls will serve both a project and related functional role. This role will also support projects directly through an assignment on active projects. The approximate split is 50% functional support and 50% direct project support on an active project(s).

On a project, the Lead Planner is accountable to the project team for the planning and implementation of effective scheduling/planning resources, processes and systems on the project, within the standards set by the Manager, Project Controls. This may involve a self-execute approach or one of collaboration with EPCM partners.

Within the function, the Lead Planner will be responsible for defining and establishing the Planning function within the Project Controls team of the Project Development Group. The Lead Planner will review, modify, and implement Planning functionality within PDG. In addition, the Lead Planner will support projects by providing high-level Planning guidance to a team of planners/schedulers. This role will have a significant supervisory component of the planning/scheduling team, requiring mentoring, coaching, and evaluation.

To be successful, we are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities. Critical thinking and problem-solving prowess are essential, alongside a proven track record of professionalism in collaborating with partners across all operational levels.
