Toromont is looking for a Manager, Strategy and Corporate Development to join our Team. Reporting to the VP, Strategy and Corporate Development, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and executing on strategic corporate initiatives at Toromont.

In a typical day, YOU will:
Reporting to the VP, Strategy and Corporate Development, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and executing on strategic corporate initiatives at Toromont.
- Oversee, manage and execute M&A activities. Perform modelling, valuations, and comprehensive due diligence activities, and manage post-acquisition integration
- Manage and advance select strategic initiatives, including collaborating closely with divisional leadership, facilitating strategy sessions, conduct comprehensive research, assessing industry trends, engage internal and external stakeholders, build financial models, and develop communication materials on findings and recommendations.
- Develop robust financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives, acquisitions, investments, and opportunities. Maintain the corporate 3-statement model. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision making.
- Work with leadership and key stakeholders to sustain and fine-tune Toromont’s Strategic Plan. Conduct regular reviews and updates of the strategic plan based on market changes, company performance and the company’s evolving goals.
- Develop concise and clear visuals and presentations to effectively communicate strategies, business cases, investment recommendations, and updates on projects to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including the executive team and board of directors
- Undertake other projects and tasks as assigned by VP Strategy and Corporate Development.
Must-haves for this role:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field, with CPA, CFA or equivalent designation
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, management consulting, investment banking, financial analysis, finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with extensive experience in financial modelling and valuations
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability work cross functionally within the organization and to build relationships internally and externally
- Experience with developing clear, concise presentations to senior management, board members and stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage projects across multiple departments.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, IFRS, tax and valuation concepts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business need
