If you are passionate about energy management, the City of Grande Prairie is looking for you to become our Energy Analyst. The City will provide you the necessary resources to advance the organizational goal of fostering a culture of energy consciousness and sustainability. As a municipal Energy Analyst, working under the guidance of the Corporate Facility Management Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving this mission. Your role will entail crucial responsibilities such as energy management planning, vigilant oversight of utility costs, meticulous tracking of energy consumption, and the proactive recommendation of energy-saving initiatives throughout the organization that will lead the City of Grande Prairie toward a more sustainable future.


Organization:

The Corporate Facility Management department delivers services in four distinct areas: Project Management, Asset Management, Energy Management and Facility Maintenance. As a valuable member of our team, you will appreciate working with a diverse group of professional and trade's related individuals who take great pride in managing and maintaining the City's vertical assets. The successes of our department, and the organization at large, are driven by our staff achieving above-average results through collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.


Your Key Responsibilities

The Energy Analyst will be the face of energy management within the organization and is responsible for conservation measures, expenditure reduction strategies, technical solutions, utility and resource data collection, analysis and reporting, and other specialized energy management program services. In addition, the energy analyst will provide advice to the organization, and associated working groups, to develop sustainability strategies aimed at resource conservation and greenhouse gas emission mitigation. Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation


Salary

Starting Salary $45.51 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement (E Band, Entry Step)
