Bartender
Job Summary
The Bartender will be responsible for ensuring that the guests/patrons are served alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages and food. Bartenders are also responsible for ensuring that their bars run smoothly and efficiently. He/ she will report directly to the Food & Beverage Supervisor/Manager.
Education
- High school diploma.
- Additional education training and certificates.
Experience - Minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar position.
- Suitable combination of training and experience.
- Food Handler’s Permit.
Competency Level This requires a basic understanding of the bar structures operations and customer service.

Key Responsibilities - Contribute to a high level of customer service.
- Assist in controlling bar stock/ inventory.
- Control guest ordering process.
- Assist in maintaining and improving standards.
- Maintain all regulatory and cleanliness requirements.
Accountabilities - Create a warm guest environment by welcoming reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences making recommendations and taking drink/food orders.
- Select and mix ingredients garnish glasses and serve beverages to customers.
- Take inventory to ensure the bar is wellstocked with beverages and other necessary items including but not limited to garnishes and glassware.
- Display and stock fridge with all beverages that are in stock.
- Provide documentation of inventory to the Food & Beverage Supervisor/Manager
- Efficiently take guests’ orders and handle cash credit and debit card transactions ensuring charges are accurate and returned.
- correct change to patrons balancing the cash register.
- Create new cocktail recipes.
- Check identification to ensure guests are of the legal age to purchase alcohol 18 plus.
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing trash cleaning tables and washing glasses utensils and equipment.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.

- Bar stock is controlled.
