Our client is in the distribution industry. They are looking for a CFO who will oversee the financial position of the Company and who will also play a strategic role as advisor to the President to help the Company to grow!

About the Opportunity Oversee all aspects of: - Internal and External Financial Reporting to Management and board, including financial statements, variance analysis and management discussion and analysis (MD&A)
- Bank Reporting, including compliance to all aspects of borrowing agreement requirements and covenants
- Income Tax compliance (Canadian and US)
- Cash Flow Management, including A/R and A/P functions
- Annual Budgeting
- Monthly Forecasting
- Cash Flow Forecasting
Financial Leadership - Act a trusted financial advisor to President
- Develop, maintain, and comply with long range plan initiatives
- Establish and maintain financial controls to protect the company assets and maximize productivity
- Ensure company compliance with Canadian and US financial regulations, as applicable Provide analytical support and recommendations for potential new business, investment, and capital expenditures
- Develop and implement investment and hedging strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
- Act as financial lead for mergers and acquisitions activity
- Monitor and maintain awareness of external economic environment, financial and financial technological trends to enhance company operations
People Management - Manage personnel in the Finance department, including accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll administration, including goal setting and performance management
Technology - Oversee and direct modification, as necessary, the company’s IT systems and interfaces as related to Finance, including ERP
About You - Undergraduate degree or diploma in accounting or finance
- CMA/CGA/CA/CPA designation
- Minimum of 10 years accounting experience with solid exposure to financial reporting and analysis
Salary Range
$225,000 - $250,000/year
