Job : The social work incumbent will be required to use high order knowledge, clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to research, develop, implement and evaluate best practice group treatments for acute and chronic mentally disordered adults, children and youth. The incumbent will provide guidance and supervision to Mental Health clinical staff on the development of best practice models of care for common clinical presentations and will develop linkages across Mental Health/Addictions Services and the community to co-ordinate a client responsive approach to care. This position requires the ability to develop, implement and evaluate clinical pathways and programs based on best practices within a stepped care or tiered model of service delivery.
This position reports to the Mental Health & Addictions Manager - Community 1.
Required Qualifications
Masters of Social Work/Masters of Indian Social Work from an accredited University that includes education aimed at theories of counseling and communication skills.
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in: The provision of assessment and treatment services to children and youth with significant mental health disorders, and; the design, implementation and evaluation of mental health service programs to the public.
- Minimum 2 years' experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff
-Significant experience in the provision of direct treatment services to clients via group formats.
- Has knowledge of Mental Health & Addictions Systems such as: Mental Health & Addictions Information Systems (MHAIS), Partners for Chan
