Job description

As a Tax Manager you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive tax compliance and planning services to a diverse portfolio of clients including corporations partnerships and trusts. This opportunity is based in the vibrant city of Kelowna offering a unique blend of career growth and quality of life.


Deliver tax compliance and planning services to diverse clientele encompassing corporations partnerships and trusts. Effectively oversee and evaluate tax files and engagements autonomously. Conduct research on tax matters preparing internal and external memorandums. Collaborate with tax authorities during audits and appeals. Take charge of intricate engagements prioritize highvalue client relationships offer toptier tax advice and explore opportunities to expand services. Identify client concerns and risk tolerance delivering tailored firm services accordingly. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the clients industry market dynamics business trends technical developments and key performance drivers effectively communicating these insights to clients. Address and resolve accounting and tax issues. Efficiently delegate tasks to staff at all levels. Provide guidance and training to staff members fostering their career development within the firm. Cultivate positive working relationships with client personnel and colleagues. Manage client relationships secure new business and uphold the quality of completed work. Serve as a mentor and coach to other managers and junior staff.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of Public Practice experience with a focus on tax specialization Previous involvement in ownermanaged private company work is viewed as an advantageous asset Demonstrates exceptional project management time management and leadership skills An innovative thinker comfortable working in both team and clientcentric environments Selfmotivated and capable of working autonomously Exhibits strong interpersonal technical and communication skills Displays robust organizational abilities including multitasking and performing well under pressure Shows a steadfast commitment to excellence with a keen attention to detail Adept problem solver with solid analytical skills Experience with CaseWare/Caseview and TaxPrep is considered beneficial Experience in a paperless environment is considered an asset Capable of thriving in a fastpaced environment with shifting deadlines
